SHOCK ABSORBING MATERIAL AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a shock absorbing material having a suitable degree of cushioning property as well as superior shock absorbing property even if the material is made thick to adapt for a large-sized and heavy product such as a computer equipment of a large-sized medical equipment and the like. SOLUTION: This shock absorbing material is made by the steps comprising settling of a molding die 3 in a raw material 1 in which water is added to material having as its major constituents used paper and jute of short fibrous state; sucking of material into the molding die 3; pulling up of the molding die 3 out of liquid surface of the raw material 1; and dewatering for moisture contents in the material. After the steps, the material is removed from the molding die 3 and the material is dried to from the objective shock absorbing material.
