PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To flock a workpiece in an excellent state by a method wherein the workpiece to be processed by flocking is passed through a humidifying apparatus, in which an adhesive layer is wetted in a required state as a workpiece, to be passed through the housing while flocking processing is being applied. SOLUTION: A humidifying apparatus 1 is constituted into a box type wherein a humidifying air is blown in through a humidifying air blow opening 2 from a humidifying air feeder equipped with a steam generator. A workpiece is passed through an humidifying air filled in the apparatus blown through the blow opening 2 from the humidifying air feeder into the humidifying apparatus 1 in a process wherein the workpiece is allowed to pass through the humidifying apparatus 1 from an inlet toward an outlet, and an adhesive layer-formed surface of the workpiece is evenly humidified. Then, a tip of a short fiber sticks to the adhesive layer which has passed the housing as a workpiece through the inlet of the housing from the outlet 4 of the humidifying apparatus 1, and an excellent flocking processing is carried out.
