PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce occurrence of moire caused in the case of scanning an original and an unsharp image of the original due to interpolation processing or the like and to read the image with high resolution and zooming being a multiple of a non-integer at a low cost. SOLUTION: A user interface section 12 is provided with a scanning magnification setting section 12a that sets a scanning magnification, and gives information relating to the scanning magnification to a control section 13. The control section 13 decided the number of scanning in a subscanning direction (pitch angle for each scanning of an optical flat plate 10) so that a deviation between an ideal sampling point and an actual sampling point reaches a prescribed amount according to the scanning magnification, and controls the number of scanning and a scanning speed of a full rate scanning section 6 and a tilt angle of the optical flat plate 10. An image processing section 11 corrects the gravity center according to image data read for each of a plurality of scanning times to calculate final data. |
