<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the visibility and operability of a group by making grouped window turn into icons altogether or restoring them to an original window state. SOLUTION: A main memory unit 101 is used as the work memory of a screen control part 102 and a window management part 103 and a window hierarchy buffer 104 stores the overlap state of windows. The operation of a keyboard 107 or a mouse 108 performed by an operator is detected, whether or not the operation is the icon making processing of a window group is judged, and when it is icon making, the link of the window hierarchy list of the window hierarchy buffer 104 is traced and all the windows belonging to the window group are put in non-display. The window group is moved to the lowest end of the window group hierarchy. An icon window corresponding to the window group is moved to the lowest end of the window group hierarchy and the icon is displayed.</p> |
