PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable easier replacement by enlarging the rigidity of a support member, and by replacing a shock absorbing member only, and further, to enhance the design freedom by reducing an overhang of bumper beam. SOLUTION: In an installing structure of a bumper beam where a bumper stay is installed at the end of a vehicle's rear side frame and a bumper beam 23 is installed at the bumper stay, a bumper stay 22 is made as a combination body of a shock absorbing member 26 that is deformed to absorb shock when a shock force work on the bumper beam 23 and a support member 25 whose stiffness is greater than that of the shock absorber 26, and the support member 25 is installed at end portions 21, 21 of the rear side frames 17, 17, and then the shock absorbing member 26 is in combination with the support member 25, and the bumper 23 is arranged so that it is installed at the shock absorbing member 26.
