PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To control the generation of the beat in latch or contact trigger of a boss and a switch link. SOLUTION: The shift lever device has a shift lever 10 which can oscillate back and forth, right and left of a vehicle, and has a boss part i2 which is movable in one piece, a position pilot switch 30 which pilots the position of the right and left location of the shift lever 10 and, a switching link 20 which has a cam side 22 that can contact with the boss part 12 and has an engaging carrier part 23 that can engage with the position pilot switch 30. A contact start point of the boss part 12 and the cam side 22 is installed at the operation position of back and forth of the vehicle.
