LOWER LEAF-TREATING APPARATUS OF LEAF VEGETABLE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve a regulation structure for providing a conveying and lower leaf-removing functions corresponding to the length of a leaf vegetable by a simpler structure and at a lower cost compared to the conventional one. SOLUTION: This lower leaf-treating apparatus has a conveying belt 2 for carrying and conveying spinach harvested from a field and in a laid posture, a lower leaf-treating structure 7 for removing the lower leaves of the spinach conveyed by the conveying belt 2 by scraping in the lower leaves and peeling off the lower leaves from the foot part by a rotating rotary body, and a pushing belt 5 for imparting a conveying force in the same direction as the conveying direction of the leaf vegetable by the conveying belt 2 by pushing the spinach conveyed by the conveying belt 2 from the upper direction over the range in which the leaf vegetable is subjected to the treatment by the lower leaf-treating structure 7. The pushing belt 5 is constituted so that the position in the far and near direction to the lower leaf-treating structure 7 may be regulated.
