PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a linear demodulation method for controlling the gain of an automatic gain control circuit on the basis of the average value of the received signal levels of the slots of a frame preceding by one by averaging the levels at the starting time point of the slot of each frame of a received signal and a radio equipment for executing linear demodulation. SOLUTION: The radio equipment of a time-division multiple access system constitutes one frame out of a plurality of slots, houses different voice signals or coding data of various kinds of data in each slot to time-divide by the unit of a frame and transmits/receives a signal. The linear demodulation method of received signal in radio equipment is provided with a receiving part having a received signal demodulating path provided with an automatic gain control circuit 4 and a decoding part, a received signal level detecting path provided with a wave detecting circuit part and a gain control path provided with a control part 9. In this case, the gain control circuit is provided with a storing circuit for retaining the average value of the respective slots of a frame before the received signal outputted from the received signal level detecting path, and a gain at the present time point of the circuit 4 provided in the received signal demodulation path by the part 9 is controlled by the average value of the respective slots of a frame preceding by one at the present time point read from the storing circuit. |
