PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image device of elevator capable of minimizing the transmission distance in light space. SOLUTION: A light emitting device 5 is installed on the wall of an elevator shaft 1 or on an appendix apparatus in the direction perpendicular to the axis of elevator running while a light receiving device 6 is installed on a car 3 in the direction perpendicular to the axis of elevator running, and thereby it is possible to minimize the transmission distance between the light emitting device 5 and light receiving device 6.
