PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a boom device which is capable of hoisting a desired object to be hoisted, easy to stably store the object, and convenient in service. SOLUTION: This boom device comprises a pair of boom bodies 1 in which base ends are pivotably attached to a fixed side such as a rooftop F of a building A and arranged in V-shape in plan view, and a skeleton 4 of a specified length both end parts of which are connected to each tip of a pair of these boom bodies 1, and the skeleton body 4 of the specified length is positioned in an area on the fixed side such as the rooftop F of the building when a pair of boom bodies 1 are most contracted while a pair of boom bodies 1 are expanded in a synchronous manner, one of the boom bodies 1 is connected to the fixed side under the interposition of a leveling cylinder 5 to be expanded/ contracted synchronous to the boom body 1, and the skeleton body 4 of the specified length suspends an object to be suspended such as gondola with a suspension wire.
