PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a spindle motor using a thrust dynamic pressure bearing with a low cost and high productivity. SOLUTION: A thrust dynamic pressure bearing is composed of a bush 9, an outer ring flange 8, and a sleeve 6 stacked in a thrust direction via small gaps. A disc-like spacer 7 having a through-hole houses the outer ring flange 8 in the through-hole and is clamped by the bush 9 and the sleeve 6 in the thrust direction to be secured in an inner space of the sleeve 6. The thrust dynamic pressure bearing is formed such that a small dimension of the gap is regulated by the spacer 7.
