PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress the rapid shrinkage of powder in a high temp. region and to prevent the cutting of a nickel electrode in the case of being thinned and structural defects such as cracks by coating the surface of nickel powder of an internal electrode material with a titanium-contg. organic compd. and controlling its sinterability. SOLUTION: The surface of nickel powder of an internal electrode material of a laminated ceramic capacitor is coated with an organic compd. contg. titanium. As this titanium-contg. organic compd., e.g. a titanate coupling agent is suitable, and its coating amt. is preferably controlled to 200 to 2000 ppm of the nickel powder as the titanium content. Moreover, the coating can be executed, e.g. by dissolving a titanium-contg. organic compd. into a suitable solvent, thereafter adding the slurry of nickel powder thereto and adsorbing it on the surface of the nickel powder. In this way, as to the sintering of the nickel powder, the shrinkage starting temp. is shifted to the high temp. side, and the generation of mismatch in shrinkage of the laminated ceramic capacitor with a dielectric layer is prevented.
