PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device capable of performing the resist motion selectively and of forming images certainly even when resist motion is conducted. SOLUTION: The drive of a transporting means 302 is transmitted to a paper sheet feeding means 102 selectively by a clutch, and a sheet S is sent out by rotating the paper sheet feed means 102 and transported by the transporting means 302 to under an image forming means 201A mounted in a motion part 201 so that an image is formed. At the time of paper sheet feeding, the motion part 201 is moved from the standby position to a first or a second paper sheet feed position, and when the motion part 201 has moved to the first paper sheet feed position, the clutch is engaged and the paper sheet feeding means 102 is rotated wherein the sheet transporting direction of the means 102 is made the same as that of the transporting means 302. When the motion part has moved to the second paper sheet feed position, the clutch is engaged and the paper sheet feeding means 102 is rotated wherein the sheet transporting direction of the means 102 is made opposite that of transport rollers.
