PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a semiconductor laser module which is easily produced and is low-cost. SOLUTION: A semiconductor laser element 1 is fixed on a substrate 2. An optical isolator 8 of polarization dependent type in which the shape of cross-section at the time of cutting the same with a X-Y plane which is orthogonally crossed to Z direction of the optical axis of the semiconductor laser element 1 is rectangular is formed, and the direction of polarized plane of light transmission of the incident side is made to be parallel to a base 14 of the optical isolator 8. The base 14 of the optical isolator 8 is made to be parallel to the base 17 of the rectangular holder 5 and a first lens 3 which transmits the laser emissive light of the semiconductor laser element 1 and the optical isolator 8 are fixed on the holder 5 in the state of alignment beforehand. The holder 5 is held and fixed from both sides parts by a holder holding part 15, and the holder 5 is fixed on the substrate 2 via the holding means 15 on the position where both of the first lens 3 and the optical isolator 8 are aligned with the semiconductor laser element 1. The laser emissive light is transmitted through the first lens 3, the optical isolator 8 and a second condensing lens 7 for condensing light in this order and is received by an optical fiber 12.
