PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lifter device equipped with a safety mechanism free of the risk that a platform falls steeply in the event of failure. SOLUTION: A platform 3 is supported on X-links 2A and 2B and elevated and sunk with its horizontal attitude kept by enlarging and lessening the intersecting angleθof the two sets of X-links 2A and 2B. A belt takeup device 51 equipped with emergency locking function is installed on the undersurface of the platform 3 near the end 221 of one of the link arms 22 separating from each other in association with sinking of the platform 3, and a hook 53 at the tip of the belt 52 drawn out of the belt takeup device 51 is engaged with a roller shaft 261 installed at the end 212 of the other link arm 21.
