PURPOSE: A method and an apparatus for salvaging a sunk body in the deep sea are provided to easily salvage a sunk body in the deep sea where a diver is inapproachable. CONSTITUTION: A method for salvaging a sunk body in the deep sea includes the steps of lowering a weight(9) having a crane(7) of a crane ship(6) being at anchor on the surface of the water, forming a hole in the bottom of the sea around a sunk body by moving the weight around the sunk body and by jetting highly pressurized fluid from a high-pressurized fluid ejector mounted on the weight, inserting a salvaging chain into the hole under the sunk body and wrapping the lower part of the sunk body in the form of a letter "U", and salvaging the sunk body wrapped with the salvaging chain using the crane of the crane ship.
