PURPOSE: A method for manufacturing molten pig iron containing a low silicon content is provided to have the molten pig iron used as a raw material for manufacturing super clean steel in the later process and effectively reduce manufacturing cost of the molten pig iron by injecting titanium contained iron ore into a blast furnace through a tuyere of a blast furnace. CONSTITUTION: A method for manufacturing molten pig iron containing a low silicon content comprising the process of injecting titanium contained iron ore into a blast furnace through a tuyere during the blast furnace operation. The titanium contained iron ore contains 10 to 18 wt.% of TiO2. The titanium contained iron ore contains 50 wt.% of Total-Fe. The titanium contained iron ore can be injected into a blast furnace in the state of powder having a particle size of 0.074 to 1.000 mm. A super clean steel can be manufactured and cost of molten pig iron can be greatly reduced using the method for manufacturing molten pig iron containing a low silicon content.
