DATA TRANSCEIVER FOR TRANSMITTING AND RECEIVING VOICE AND DATA THROUGH TELEPHONE LINE

PURPOSE: A data transceiver for transmitting and receiving a voice and a data through a telephone line is provided to simplify a composition and transmit and receive a high-speed data with a transceiver of an object through the telephone line. CONSTITUTION: A network adaptor(100) has an ethernet controller(102) for transmitting and receiving data with a switching hub according to an ethernet protocol and performing a media access control(MAC) and a network interface(104) for interfacing the ethernet controller(102) to be suitable for a physical media which connects the switching hub to a center module. A transmitting data buffer(120) temporarily stores downward data received from the switching hub so that a data receipt from the switching hub and a data transmission to a subscriber terminal are smoothly performed. A receiving data buffer(130) temporarily stores upward data received from the subscriber terminal so that a data receipt from the subscriber terminal and a data transmission to the switching hub are smoothly performed. A transmitting unit(150) has a 8B10B coder(152), an equalizer and an amplifier(156). The 8B10B coder(152) removes or decrease a DC component of a down-link data signal to code down-link data so that the interference of the down-link data signal and a voice signal is minimized in a transmission process through a telephone line. The equalizer(154) converts a level of the down-link data signal according to a characteristic and distance of the telephone line for improving a transmission reliability of a system. The amplifier(156) amplifies a signal equalized by the equalizer(154) and outputs the amplified signal to the telephone line. A receiving unit(160) has a digital receiver(162) for detecting a symbol from a received signal and a 10B8B decoder(164) for decoding the detected symbol to recover the upward data.
