PURPOSE: A system and a method for providing voice data based on the network and a medium for recording source program thereof are provided to enable a user not to read characters outputted on screen of the user terminal by enabling a user to be offered information as not by a text but a voice, to search rapidly and receive more information by transmitting the contents of the selected information as a voice, thereby transmitting the contents of the newspaper or an electric document written by characters rapidly and easily. CONSTITUTION: A communication network comprises line communication and wireless communication networks and renders many clients to connect a cooperation site and a main site and to offer text information and voice data. A plurality of cooperation sites(200) is cooperated with according to a predetermined promise with a main server(400) and comprises a button additionally for providing voice data to a user. The user decides as to whether a voice file exists in a main server(400) or a DB equipped additionally in case that the user selects the button and selects the title of information provided by a homepage of cooperated site. A client terminal(300) is connected to using a communication program in a cooperated site(200) and the main server(400) for on-line and is offered information provided by the sites and has a media player and plays and outputs voice data. The main server(400) has plurality of the cooperated sites(200) offering the text information. The cooperated sites(200) makes a DB by being received and a text document and converting to voice data and transmits the data of the DB to the client terminal(300).
