PURPOSE: Provided is an industrial germicide comprising a halogenated glyoxime derivative and a specific low toxic germicide as an active ingredient and capable of manifesting excellent synergistic sterilizing effects. CONSTITUTION: An industrial germicide is obtained by including (A) one or more of compounds expressed by the formula(I), wherein X is halogen; Y is H, halogen or 1-4C alkyl; Z is H or 1-4C alkanoyl which is substituted with halogen, preferably monochloroglyoxime, 1-chloro-2-methylglyoxime, dichloroglyoxime or dichloroglyoxime dipropionate and (B) 4,5-dichloro-1,2-dithiol-3-one which is a low toxic organic germicide as an active ingredient. The germicide is useful as an antiseptic, a germicidal and bacteriostatic agent for water in a papermaking process in the paper and pulp industry, cooling water or washing water for various industries and various industrial products.
