PURPOSE: A method for testing a signal route set in a No.7 signaling point(SP) is provided to drive a signal route set testing timer based on a signal link set including a signal route, when a transmission prohibition message is received from a signaling transfer point(STP), and to test the signal route set, depending on whether a transmission permission message is received according to each signal route, which is included in the signal link set when the timer is completed, so as to test the signal route set relating to a high capacity of SP without giving load to each SP. CONSTITUTION: A No.7 signaling point(SP) starts driving a signal route set testing timer based on a signal link set. The No.7 SP availably processes signal routes in which a transmission permission message is received, before completing the timer driving. If the timer driving is completed, the No.7 SP transmits a signal route set testing message through unavailable signal routes included in the signal link set. The step of starting the timer driving comprises as follows. The No.7 SP processes a signal route including a transmission prohibition message in an unavailable method. The No.7 SP obtains signal link set information including the unavailable-processed signal route. The No.7 SP decides whether the signal route set testing timer is driven, according to a result confirming whether the signal route set testing timer is driven.
