D/A CONVERTER CAPABLE OF HIGH SPEED SWITCHING AND ACCURATE VOLTAGE TRANSFORMATION

PURPOSE: A D/A converter capable of high speed switching and accurate voltage transformation is provided to enable the fast switching motion from a digital input signal into an analog output voltage. CONSTITUTION: The D/A converter capable of high speed switching and accurate voltage transformation comprises a sub converter(10) and a main converter(20). The sub converter(10) controls the connection between the first reference voltage and the second reference voltage to decide the output voltage range of an analog output in accordance with a range control signal determining the voltage range of an analog output voltage. The main converter(20) controls the connection to the first and second reference voltages in response to a digital input signal commanding a voltage transformation to convert the analog output voltage within the output voltage range.
