PURPOSE: A slag deoxidizer used in a ladle, an apparatus for supplying the same, and a method for deoxidizing slag are provided to reduce manufacturing cost of molten steel, effectively deoxidize converter slag in a ladle and prevent deterioration or working environment due to generation of dusts by using ammonia gas as a slag deoxidizer. CONSTITUTION: In a slag deoxidizer for oxidizing converter slag of upper part of a ladle (11) in molten steel which is flown out from a converter to a ladle (11), the slag deoxidizer produces hydrogen in the nascent state. An apparatus for supplying a slag deoxidizer consists an ammonia storage tank (12), an inert gas storage tank (14), an injection line (16) for guiding ammonia or inert gas from the storage tanks to converter slag in the ladle (11), an ejection lance (18) which is installed end part of the injection line (16) and dipped into the converter slag, and a nozzle (19) which is installed end part of the ejection lance (18) for ejecting ammonia or inert gas into the converter slag. A method for deoxidizing converter slag comprises the steps of dipping the ejection lance (18) into converter slag as supplying an inert gas, supplying ammonia to converter slag, finishing supplying of ammonia after the completion of slag deoxidization due to the supply of ammonia, and collecting the ejection lance (18) from converter slag as supplying an inert gas.
