PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an excellent color image without color smear by always, accurately synchronizing the surface speeds of plural image carrying drums. SOLUTION: In this image forming device in which the plural image carrying drums 1 (1a-1d) are arranged in a row, this driving system is provided with rotary bodies 2 (2a-2d) which are arranged to face the outer peripheries of the edge parts of the carrying drums 1 respectively and can be rocked, an endless belt 3 extended on the plural image carrying drums 1 and the plural rotary bodies 2 and a drive source 4 for exerting driving force to the endless belt 3. Then, this belt 3 passes through between the outer peripheries of each rotary body 2 and the edge parts of the drums 1 facing the rotary bodies 2, from their peripheries and is wound on the outer peripheries of the edge parts of the drums 1, in order. The rotary bodies 2 are rocked to the sides of the drums 1 by the driving force of the belt 3 respectively and pressed on the sides of the drums 1, to hold the endless belt 3 between the rotary bodies and the edge parts of the drums 1, so that the drums 1 are driven. |
