PURPOSE: A device for controlling a back light of a displayer in a wireless terminal is provided to turn on/off the back light of the displayer on the basis of a communication available/unavailable state, and to control a displayer brightness according to an outer illuminance, so as to reduce power consumption, and to control the brightness of the back light. CONSTITUTION: A light detector(117) detects an outer illuminance, and generates a brightness control signal. A brightness controller(119) controls the brightness of a back light according to the brightness control signal. A controller(113) responds to the brightness control signal in a communication available state of a wireless terminal to control the brightness of the back light, and controls to turn off the back light in a communication unavailable state.
