PURPOSE: A high accurate power detector of power amplifier is provided to enhance the power detection accuracy of the power amplifier when the range of a power to be detected is wide or an accuracy is required in a low level side. CONSTITUTION: The device comprises a power amplifier(10), a power detector(20), a variable level amplifier(30), an A/D converter(40) and a microprocessor(50). The power detector(20) measures the I/O power and reflection power of the amplifier(10) to extract a DC level. The amplifier(30) enhances the detection accuracy extracted from the detector(20) to amplify to a DC level suitable to the input of the converter(40). The A/D converter(40) converts the level amplified in the amplifier(30) into a digital value. The microprocessor(50) recognizes current I/O and reflection powers using the digital data and controls the variable level regulation of the amplifier(30).
