PURPOSE: A method for setting up transmission time of physical channels in a wireless mobile communication system is provided to set up an optimum transmission time when scrambling codes set up transmission time of other physical channels in a wireless access system of an international mobile telecommunications-2000(IMT-2000), so as to improve a system capability without increasing hardware complexity. CONSTITUTION: A wireless mobile communication system spreads many physical channels, by using channel codes inherently assigned every physical channel and at least more than one scrambling codes for distinguishing each base station, and transmits the spread physical channels to a destination through an identical frequency. A specific base station manages the number of physical channels and the number of channel codes assigned thereto. If the number of the physical channels is more than the number of the channel codes in the specific base station, the specific base station selectively uses the scrambling codes. If scrambling codes for being used between transmitting physical channels are the same, the specific base station transmits the physical channels by adjusting chip synchronizations. If the scrambling codes are not the same, the specific base station transmits the physical channels by delaying the chip synchronizations, according to physical channels having same scrambling codes.
