PURPOSE: A device and method for synchronizing audio/video signals are provided so that synchronization of the audio/video signals can be controlled according to a delay value, by calculating a delay time between generation of an audio signal of a specific frequency and output of the audio signal. CONSTITUTION: An audio/video data source unit(210) generates audio and video data. A synchronous data source unit(220) generates a synchronous data corresponding to a predetermined audio frequency. A video buffer(260) buffers the video data from the audio/video data source unit(210). An audio buffer(270) buffers the audio data from the audio/video data source unit(210) and the synchronous data from the synchronous data source unit(220). An audio signal processing unit processes the audio data and the synchronous data as analog audio signals. In addition, according to the request of the audio/video data synchronization, a control unit(240) interrupts transmission of the audio/video data of the audio/video data source unit(210), outputs the synchronous data from the synchronous data source unit(220), calculates a delay time between the output of the synchronous data and the detection of the synchronous data from the audio signal from the audio signal processing unit, and controls audio and video data buffering of the audio buffer(270) and the video buffer(260) according to the calculated delay time value. |
