PURPOSE: A network terminal having a router function is provided to offer a network terminal comprising a router function as embodied as a single unit, without the necessity of additionally and separately purchasing communication equipments necessary for network access. CONSTITUTION: A control unit(100) manages every function to be executed by each module. A ROM(210) stores all programs to be carried out. A RAM(220) executes a buffer function to store communication data temporarily. An EEPROM(230) stores MAC(Media Access Control) addresses and IP(Internet Protocol) addresses. A local interface(910) consists of an RJ-45 connector and electrical circuits so as to be connected with a computer and network units through a LAN(Local Area Network). A PHY(600) connected with the local interface(910) amplifies a signal inputted from the LAN and transmits it to other units. A LAN controller(500), analyzing a signal inputted through the PHY(600), transmits the data to a relevant module or disposes of it. A routing unit(400) carries out a generic router function. A line interface(920) connected with the routing unit(400) and a telephone interface(320) is composed of the RJ-45 connector and electrical circuits so as to be connected to a public network. The telephone interface(320) connected with a telephone handset(800) makes a voice call function achieved. A printer interface(310) connected with a printer is provided for network printing.
