PURPOSE: A punching machine of novel structure is provided to form a through hole by transferring a workpiece of itself without an additional transfer device. CONSTITUTION: A punching machine comprises: a frame, a guide rail(4) extended horizontal to the frame; a transfer block(6) mounted on the guide rail to be movable horizontally; first drive units(10,12) forwardly and rearwardly moving the transfer block; lift up and down blocks(22,26) movably mounted on the transfer block and having a punch pin(20) installed vertically on the bottom; a second drive unit lifting up and down the lift up and down blocks; and a punch die(46) placed at a lower portion of the lift up and down block and having a punch hole(44) corresponding to the punch pin. A workpiece is adsorbed by an adsorption unit(40) placed in the lower face of the lift up and down blocks, and then punched by lift down motion of the punch pin. Thereafter, the workpiece is adsorbed by horizontal/vertical movement of the lift up and down blocks. Finally, another workpiece is fed to the upper portion of the punch die, or the punched workpiece is discharged.
