PURPOSE: A fluorescent display tube is provided to enable free pattern design by preparing a metal barrier formed of a single layer, to reduce printing process, to prevent the generation of gas, and to improve the quality of a product by reducing a short defect in printing. CONSTITUTION: A fluorescent display tube includes: a pair of substrates(4,6) composing a vacuum container with a side glass; a filament mounted in the vacuum container and emitting thermal electrons corresponding to voltage application; an anode electrode(14) formed on the rear substrate and having a fluorescent layer on the surface; a control electrode(22) formed around the anode electrode and accelerating or isolating the thermal electrons emitted from the filament; and a wiring layer(8) applying power to the anode electrode and the control electrode. According to the control electrode formed of a metal barrier, pattern design of the anode electrode becomes free. Comparing to the electrode made of a conductive material, producing sequence is simplified. Further, the improvement of the quality and the extension of life time are realized corresponding to the prevention of problems due to the generation of gas.
