PURPOSE: A clamp screw of a deflection yoke is provided to essentially remove mis-convergence from upward/downward unbalance of vertical magnetic deflection. CONSTITUTION: A deflection yoke is fixedly secured by a clamp(2) fastened to the rear end of a separator(2), and includes a pair of traverse deflection coil(12), a vertical deflection coil(14) and a core(18). The separator(2) is shaped as a sectoral horn and made of plastic for insulation. A rear end(2c) extended from a small diameter portion(2b) of the separator(2) has the same inside diameter as the outside diameter of a neck(6). A clamp(40) is installed to the rear end(2c). The clamp(40) includes a band portion(8) and a clamp screw(42). The band portion(8) includes a ring-shaped body(8a) and a plurality of extensions(8b) for receiving the clamp screw(42). The clamp screw(42) is manufactured to have magnetism or be magnetized. The clamp screw(42) tightens the band portion(8) to fix the separator(2) to the neck(6) of a CRT, and generates a pin cushion shaped magnetic field to form reverse magnetic field about barrel shaped vertical magnetic deflection.
