PURPOSE: A heating mode running method of a heat pump is provided to raise condensing temperature rapidly by checking indoor temperature continuously and changing frequency depending on difference between the indoor temperature and a reference value. CONSTITUTION: A compressor obtains the target running frequency depending on measured indoor/outdoor temperatures and predetermined value. Frequency is changed based on the target running frequency and the present running frequency of the compressor. The present indoor temperature is sensed and compared with a reference value. If the indoor temperature is lower than the reference value, a compensating factor is added to the changing frequency to promote faster frequency change. Finally, the frequency reaches the target running frequency depending on the compensated frequency change.
