PURPOSE: A cargo transfer route design method is provided to offer a design model of analyzing simultaneously each subsystem of the container terminal so that it can test collectively the component system under various conditions. CONSTITUTION: The method comprises steps of automatically generating and arranging nodes on each component element based on data of a terminal layout simulator. loading & unloading setting data, and block arrangement direction decision data(S10,S20,S30), constructing a transfer route by connecting the nodes(S40,S50), checking an export/import carriage pattern according to a set cargo handling system(S60), checking the carriage pattern if the carriage pattern is unsatisfied(S65), setting a cargo transfer operation plan if the carriage pattern is satisfied(S70), determining a container loading & unloading transfer route according to the loading & unloading flow in order to obtain a transfer timer and distance(S80), and describing a reference for calculating the distance and the time among the nodes(S90).
