PURPOSE: An apparatus for ascending and descending a paper presser is provided to readily press a paper upon cutting the paper. CONSTITUTION: A support hole is punched by forming support pieces(2,2A) on both sides of a paper presser(1). Support rods(4,4A) forming a screw unit are inserted in the support hole and nuts(9,9A) are connected to the screw unit. After preparing insertion holes(6,6A) on a lower end, hooks(8,8A) are inserted in the insertion holes. An insertion portion(11) formed on an upper part of combining units(10,10A) in a spiral shape is inserted and supported. A lower side is connected to support portions(11,11A) and a guide groove is formed on both sides of a frame. The support pieces are inserted in the guide groove so that the support pieces are ascended and descended up and down. Accordingly, a preparation work of pressing the paper with the paper presser to prevent the paper from being scattered is readily accomplished.
