APPARATUS FOR COMPRESSING FOOD WASTE FOR SINK

PURPOSE: A compressing apparatus for food waste for a sink is provided to remove moisture contained in the food waste to minimize the volume of the waste food, thereby deodorizing and preventing increase of insects to maintain pleasant environment. CONSTITUTION: A compressing apparatus for food waste for a sink includes a pressing plate(5) mounted in a drainage pipe liftingly and formed with a plurality of discharge holes(5a) for discharging water generated when pressing the waste food, a lifting rod(6) connected to a bottom surface of the pressing plate and coupled with a lifting plate(7) at a lower part, a guide tube(8) attached to a lower part of the drainage pipe for guiding the moving of the lifting rod, a corrugated tube(9) incorporated in the guide tube to be expanded by air supplied by an air supply(10) to lift the lifting plate, and a cover(3) detachably screw-coupled at an upper part of the drainage pipe.
