PURPOSE: The circuit and the method for selecting one of auxiliary memory in a computer system are provided to efficiently use the devices, by a connecting a hard disk with other hard disk, or a main board and a hard disk in a desired manner in order to switch one device to another device suitable for a user system. CONSTITUTION: A selection switch part(110) in a selection circuit(100) switches a plurality of signals in response to the operations of a switch(S1) for selecting the master of the hard disk and a switch(S2) for selecting the use of a slavery disk. A decoding part(120) changes the signals from the part(110) to controls signals. A control signal data memory(130) stores the data related to the control signals from the decoding part(120). A switch part(140) connects a main board(30) to one of hard disks(40,41) or the hard disk(40) to the hard disk(41) in response to the control signals. A display part(150) illustrates the data of the control signals.
