APPARATUS FOR DETECTING SYNCHRONIZATION OF TRANSPORT PACKET

PURPOSE: An apparatus for detecting the synchronization of a transport packet is provided to detect the synchronization regardless of continuity or discontinuity of effective signal of transport packet of MPEG2, and to detect the synchronization of DSS(Direc TV) packet. CONSTITUTION: The apparatus for detecting the synchronization of a transport packet includes a DSS transport packet synchronization detecting unit(10) and a MPEG2 transport packet synchronization detecting unit(20). A synchronization output selection unit(30) selects a synchronization output by the value (i_DSS or TS) of an input signal. The MPEG2 transport packet synchronization detecting unit(20) includes a 8 bit packet counter(21)(p_cnt) for counting the number of the inputted packet data(i_packet_data). A N bit synchronization detecting counter(23) counts the number that the synchronization is generated. A M bit synchronization loss counter(22)(s_loss) counts the number that the synchronization does not generated. A synchronization output unit(30) selects and outputs the synchronization according to the DSS or TS(i_DSS or TS) signal.
