PURPOSE: A 3D input device and processing method for 3D input is provided to offer various and convenient user interface by offering a user interface in 3D and embodying a graphic user interface in 3D on screen, thereby accessing an object displayed in 3D. CONSTITUTION: A user input unit(10a) comprises the X, Y, Z coordinate detecting units(10, 11, 12), a position detecting unit(13) selectively comprised in a data transmitting unit(15), an A/D converter(14). A data processing unit(10b) comprises a data receiving unit(17), a coordinate calculating unit(18) and a coordinate outputting unit(19). The user input unit(10a) and the data processing unit(10b) is connected and operated through a connecting medium as an optical cable or wire/wireless transmission medium. Three sensor is used for detecting the three dimensional input generated in a space. That is, the X coordinate detecting unit(10) senses and detects the movement of user input device in the X-axis direction. The Y coordinate detecting unit(11) detects the movement in the Y-axis direction vertically corresponding to the X-axis direction. The Z coordinate detecting unit(12) detects the movement in the Z-axis direction vertically corresponding to the X-axis and Y-axis directions, respectively. |
