PURPOSE: A brake device of a mini-scooter is provided to improve safety in use by mounting a friction brake operated by pulling a brake wire connected to a brake handle and to reduce the occurrence rate of accidents by increasing a braking effect. CONSTITUTION: A brake device of a mini-scooter includes a step plate(4) integrally formed with a fork having a handle, front and rear wheels, a brake cover(6) fixed at the rear end of the step plate, a brake handle fixed on the handle, a friction brake(20) rotatably mounted on a frame(4') of the step plate using a fixed shaft(23) and having a wire connection part(21) at the lower end and a brake part(22) at the upper end, a torsion spring(30) wound on the fixed shaft and providing restoring force to maintain the brake part in a separated state from the wheel when a brake is inoperative, and a brake wire(40) connecting the brake handle with the wire connection part of the friction brake and generating the unidirectional rotating power to the friction brake when the brake handle is pulled.
