METHOD FOR MANAGING CID LOOKUP TABLE

PURPOSE: A method for managing a CID(Connection IDentifier) lookup table is provided to efficiently achieve high-speed routing to an associated entity and its inverse process by configuring a lookup table of a 2-dimensional array structure for a plurality of CIDs and controlling the CIDs using the indexes of the lookup table, in a function structure that a plurality of entities, providing ATM connective service for connection with an ATM network, share a connection providing device. CONSTITUTION: A plurality of entities(21) use an ATM connection, a virtual channel connection formed between an upper-level layer and an AAL(ATM Adaptation Layer). A connection control part(25) controls each of the entities(21). A connection management part(26) manages an AAL connection and executes a function for the addition and cancellation of connection information. A data transmitting/receiving part(23) is in charge of data transmission and reception. A data routing control part(22), connected with the data transmitting/receiving part(23), make a connection with upper-level entities. A packet memory(24) stores substantial data.
