PURPOSE: An apparatus for cutting a gate is provided to prevent a defect caused by floating of a gate scrap, by smoothly exhausting the gate scrap cut from a lead frame through an exhaust hole. CONSTITUTION: A punch die(42) includes the first and second exhaust holes(45,47). The first exhaust hole is formed from an upper surface settling a lead frame to the inside, and corresponds to a gate. The second exhaust hole larger than the first exhaust hole is formed, connected to the first exhaust hole. A punch(44) is installed on the punch die and inserted into the first exhaust hole so that The gate of the lead frame settled in the punch die is cut. A pushing unit(50) is elastically protruded to a lower portion of the punch, and pushes the gate scrap cut by the punch to the second exhaust hole.
