NETWORK APPARATUS FOR INTER PROCESSOR COMMUNICATIONS AND METHOD FOR CONTROLLING THEREOF

PURPOSE: A network apparatus for inter processor communications and a controlling method thereof are provided to offer a network apparatus with small power consumption in an IPC network transmitting parallel data. CONSTITUTION: A route identifier insertion unit(28) and a route identifier removal unit(36) respectively are connected between a TX interface unit(24) and the first buffer(16) and between a RX interface unit(26) and a frame address filter(20). A route identifier analysis unit(30) is connected between the route identifier insertion unit(28) and the route identifier removal unit(36). The route identifier analysis unit(30) outputs a route identifier according to a destination address in a data frame or generates a signal to remove the route identifier when the route identifier on the data frame is identical to a preset reference route identifier. The route identifier analysis unit(30) is comprised of a route identifier table(32) and an analysis unit(34). The route identifier table(32) has an addition reference table and a deletion reference table. The analysis unit(34), accessing the addition reference table, supplies the route identifier corresponding to a destination address to the route identifier insertion unit(28). The analysis unit(34) compares the route identifier outputted from the route identifier removal unit(36) with identifiers stored in the deletion reference table and outputs a deletion control signal when they are identical.
