DEVICE FOR DETECTING LEAKAGE OF AMMONIA GAS

PURPOSE: An ammonia gas leakage detector is provided to reduce loss of lives and estates by checking a small leakage of gas and detecting the gas at an electricity failure. CONSTITUTION: A device for detecting a leakage of ammonia gas comprises a lid(11); a protecting bar(12) composing of a pH electrode(12b), a through hole(12c) and a hole(12a); a cover(13) having a combining portion(13a) and a sill(13b); an assembling nut(14) having plural supporting bars(14b) and combined with the cover(13); more than one gauges(16) in a phenolphthalein solution; and a detecting container(15) having the phenolphthalein solution. Ammonia shows the weak alkalinity by melting in water. The phenolphthalein solution in the detecting container is changed to red by reacting the leaked ammonia gas with the gauge. The ammonia gas leakage detector is operated by a detecting sensor when the phenolphthalein solution is changed over pH 7.1 by the leaked ammonia gas.
