PURPOSE: A card reader is provided to reduce total size of main body by enabling one reader to perform three functions of a smart card reader, a magnetic band card reader and non-contacting card reader, and detecting unnecessary data out of inputted data and deleting them and reading data, thereby memorizing the data through an internal memory provided in one chip micro computer. CONSTITUTION: An IC card interface unit(11) satisfies the ISO7816-3,4 standard for communicating to an IC card. A short circuit prevention unit(12) protects a circuit from an inferiority IC card inputted through the IC card interface unit(11). A MS card interface unit(21) satisfies the ISO7811-2 standard for communicating to a MS card. A RF card interface unit(31) communicates through a RF card and a RF antenna. A data transmitting unit(32) transmits and receives the inputted data through the RF card interface unit(31). The fourth micro computer(41) processes and analyzes the data inputted/output through the IC card interface unit(11), data inputted/output through the MS card interface unit(21) and data inputted/output through RF card interface unit(31). A RS232C interface unit(16) connects the fourth micro computer(41) to a host. The fourth storing unit(42) temporary memorizes a user's information for permitting the RF card and data being stored in the IC card and the MS card and provided in the fourth micro computer(41). A reset circuit(15) resets at 100mS after electric power is turned on for initializing the fourth micro computer(41).
