PURPOSE: A method for preparing a fertilizer using an oyster shell is provided. The prepared fertilizer is able to slowly improve fertility of soil by reactivating generation and multiplication of microorganisms required for soil enrichment and promote the growth of the crops and also purify air by neutralizing contaminants such as sulfur dioxide and carbon monooxide. CONSTITUTION: The method comprises steps of: (i) removing salt and extraneous matters from collected oyster shells, with washing water of 40-50 deg.C and a pressure of 10 kilogram/square centimeter; (ii) heating the washed oyster shells in an air current carbonizing machine at 600-650 deg.C for 5 minutes to remove residual salts and fibroid materials and then grinding them into particles having a size of 150 micrometers; (iii) spouting out the solution consisting of 3 of starch powder and 1000 of water, to the oyster shell particles and then grinding them into particles having a size of 0.5-1 millimeter; and (iv) passing the prepared particles of the step (iii) through a molding machine to form particles having a size of 3-4 millimeters and then drying them.
