PURPOSE: A system and a method for providing an electronic card service are provided to enhance coefficient of reliability about an electronic card information by adding a position information having only electronic card information to an electronic mail, thereby enabling updated electronic card information to be searched if the electronic card information was updated. CONSTITUTION: A database(120) comprises an electronic card information database(122) and an advertising information database(124). The first user(100) is connected to an electronic card service server(110) on a network by the first web browser(102) and inputs electronic card information for generating the electronic card. The first user(100) receives the position of the electronic card information transmitted from the electronic card service server(110) through the first web browser(102) according to an electronic card information. The second user(104) has the same construction as the first user(100) for inputting electronic card information and setting of new electronic mail making format. The electronic card service server(110) stores the electronic card information inputted from the first and the second users(100, 104) connected through a network to an electronic card information database(122).
