Medicinal compositions for inhibiting abnormal proliferation of vascular smooth muscle cells

摘要

It is found out that LKB1 protein is strongly expressed particularly in vascular smooth muscle cells in addition to smooth muscle cells constituting mucosal muscle plates. It is suggested that, in case where abnormal proliferation of vascular smooth muscle cells arises, the abnormal proliferation can be inhibited by promoting the expression of LKB1 protein or its function.
