PURPOSE: A frame body for a color cathode-ray tube is provided to strengthen the rigidity of a frame body and to improve the howling characteristic in a shadow mask by using a specific bead structure. CONSTITUTION: A pair of main frames(107a) are arranged in parallel each other and a pair of sub frames(107b) are arranged in parallel each other. The main frames(107a) and the sub frames(107b) are opposed each other and form a rectangular shaped frame. Two pieces of beads(108) per each of the main frames(107a) are formed on an opposite surface to the facing side of the main frames(107a). Each of the beads(108) is protruded toward an inner direction. The sub frame(107b) has a trapezoid shape as a whole and thereby obtaining a high inertia moment. A bracket(109) is attached to the combining portion between the main frame(107a) and the sub frame(107b) to strengthen the combing force therebetween.
