PURPOSE: A number display device and a number displayer are provided to be produced at a low cost, to readily see a number at a distance even at night and to enable anyone to readily repair the number displayer. CONSTITUTION: A number display device consists of a lower plate for transmitting light; a metallic plate(22) prepared with a number display cut unit(23) cut into plural pieces to display all numbers while isolating the light; a background unit(20) made up of an upper plate having a different color from the upper plate and attached to a front face of the metallic plate; and a cover piece(25) integrally made up of a magnet(26) for isolating the light in the inside and a magnet cover(27) on the outside corresponding to each piece of the number display cut unit. Herein, a portion to be screened is covered by the cover piece(25) according to the number displayed on the number display cut unit. Accordingly, only the portion to be displayed is seen from the outside.
